Create backup image from C:, restore to H:
I want to take my C: backup image and restore it to my H: partition.
It's the 2nd partition on a SATA 1.5TB drive.
Acronis does not seem to allow this. Am I missing something or is this not possible?
I have 3 drives:
C: - 80GB SATA
D: E: F: - partitions on a 320GB PATA (IDE)
G: H: partition on a 1.5TB SATA

I running ATI 2010 from Win 7.
H: is a primary partition.
I've been told that I can take an image of my C: (Win 7 boot drive) and restore it to another drive/partition then actually boot it and it will somehow magically become C:. I don't understand how this can work so I want to try it which is why I'm trying to do this.
As you restore on H: change the H: drive letter to C:
There does not seem to be an option or way to restore my C: image to H:, at least not while booted to Win 7. Will this be possible if I boot the Recovery CD? Best way to find out is try it I guess.

Yes, always do recoveries and clones from the recovery CD.

I'll try that and see if it gives me the option I need, thanks.
