It gives me an option to "ignore", but then brings up a list of drives which doesn't include the one I want to use. If I select another one and try to proceed, the same error message pops up again. This time ignoring just leaves it with the vista equivalent of the egg timer.
I have reinstalled the software, and updated it and reinstalled again. But the problem remains.
Any suggestions?!

Updated from Acronis TImage 11 to Acronis TI 2011. NO problem installing, but I have these questions:
1-In the TI 11 it was easy to delete a Backup file. With the new version this task seems to be impossible. I miss the Log file, sorry.
2-Created the SZone with TI 11, so I think it's still there on C:\. In spite of that I can't create a Recovery Disk. The two pop up menus I get are attached as pictures for reference.
3-I wouldn't know in this version how to get the comand to create a SZ on C:\. Not too friendly, or hopefully, lack of familiarity
Please, guide me.

Did you uninstall TI 11 before installing TI 2011?
Have you tried doing a repair/reinstall of TI 2011 to see if it helps?
Does it make any difference if you
The option to manage the SZ is still there. It's in the Tools & Utilities section. Then click on the Acronis Secure Zone link.

Actually I didn't download TI 2011, but TI 11. Sorry for giving you the wrong info
I have to change my HD today. I sent an e-mail to find out how I can download TI 11 in my new HDrive, so it will be equivalent to reinstalling, in a way.
OK. Will try your suggestion.
Let's wait until I get TI 11 installed.
Thank you.

This time I made sure that I downloaded the complete version of TI 11. I stil have the problem of creating a recovery disk.
I typed D:\ as the command for forming and I try both, the CD R-W and the DVD +RW disks.
In the past, before paying for the new and improved version, the TI 10 will create the recovery disk on a CD R-W.
All other subjects are under control, for the time being. I'm using XP Professional as the OS, just in case there is a peculiar setting that is different from the Win 2K that I was using with TI 10.
W/o the recovery disk I don't have much chance if something happens to me that is serious enough.
Hope with the new year a solution will come
Happy new year my friend!!!

Happy New Year to you too. Thanks.
If the ISO download is available in your Acronis account you could try creating a recovery CD with it and see if that works.

That's the one I used and failed. Sorry

Hector,
When you download the ISO from your account, you just need to burn the ISO to a disk. So there should be no issue "creating" it, like before.

I thought that the TI program had a "burn" capability of its own. Do I have to open a burn program for the purpose, or could I "link" the make recovery disk to that external program?
If the 1st answer is NO, then how I link the 2 pieces of software, or where should I go to pick the file to burn?
If the answer is Yes to the 1st question, why Help doesn't say a word about it?
Something is fishy in Denkmark, sorry.

I am not sure I understand your last post. Once you have the ISO on computer, just burn it with a program like ISO Recorder or Nero on a CD.

I thought I was clear.
What you are telling me is that any ISO Recorder should work. My comment to you is that the software I bought (TI 11) doesn't have this capability. The proof is that you are suggesting to use Nero (which I don't have) or another burn program.
I sense that you don't want to admit that TI 11's software don't have a burn ISO file that will create a Recovery Disk on a CD. We say in Spanish that the best deaf is the one that doesn't want to listen. Sorry, but that's the way I feel.
On the other hand, you failed to indicate where I find the program I should burn.
I was expecting better quality of help. Sorry, but @ 80 I'm not planning to stop being direct with my answers or feelings.

Hector,
TI can create a recovery media, including burning a CD, but it uses internal files to do so.
So, to use your words, you cannot "link" the downloaded ISO to ATI for it to burn it.
If you want to use the downloadable ISO, you need image burning software.
Try something like http://www.imgburn.com/
