Deleting and then Adding again an Acronis Backup from/to the LIST

Occasionally I delete a backup from the Acronis "List", but then retain that backup on an external drive. When that backup is needed, sometimes much later, I add it again to the List by selecting the normal "Add Existing Backup" button and browsing to the backup.
The backup then appears on the List, but the option to do an incremental backup with current information is not there. (Only the Restore feature appears to be available). How can I add incremental backups at this point?
The backup file, incidentally, was set up as Incremental and includes some incremental files.
