Deleting backups - v2014

Thread needs solution

My backup location has become full.  There is some unnecessary duplication in the data.  I need to delete the old backup files and start fresh.

I know that simply deleting the files on my backup drives; either through Windows Explorer, or via TrueImage is not the correct method.  I have gone to Settings, then chosen Delete and Whole Backup.  I'm starting with the Disk Image.  As I do incremental backups, there is the original, then all the various incremental files on the backup drives.  76 in total.

When starting the delete operation, most of the files were deleted very quickly.  Now, the software seems to be 'stuck'.  It has not deleted any additional of the backup files for a few hours.

Is this normal? Should I quit the program and relaunch then try again?

Thoughts appreciated.  As noted, True Image 2014 on Windows 7.

Robert, the delete operation does sound to be 'stuck' from your description.

I would recommend checking the backup drive contents in Explorer and refresh this a couple of times to see if there is any sign of delete activity?  If not, then try Ejecting the backup drive to see if it can be done?

If the task is still 'stuck' then try closing it / quitting the program or else restart Windows.
