Disk Backup Name On Hard Drive

Thread needs solution

When I used Acronis True Image 2012 to back up one of my hard drives,
Using a single version backup the name placed on the drive it was stored on was Drive(C).tib no mater how many times it was backed up.

Using Acronis True Image 2013 backing using a single version back the back up name is now Drive (C)_full_b1_s1_v1.tib
When I do another backup of Drive C the name on the drive the backup is stored to b1 changes to b2
I thought the name of the backup should be the same as the backup name that Acronis 2012 places on the hard drive Drive (C).tib
Any one have this problem?

True Image 2013 by Acronis uses a new naming method. See page 11 section 1.1.4 in the User Guide http://forum.acronis.com/forum/35047

Thank you for your quick reply. That answers my question.

Hello James F.
I just recently purchased & installed the 2013 version of ATIH, .. what a big jump from the version 2009 ! Interface is rather different / updated.

My question having read this page is also in regards to names of the archives, in full backups single version. Is there any possibility/way to disable this feature and have acronis not used those names like (C)_full_b1_s1_v1.tib, but use the past same "straight " name as the backup name was used in previous versions of Acronis ?

Really hate this new renaming scheme, and with multiple backup done for different drives, I find it confusing. Thanks for your reply. Luds

No, you cannot disable those suffixes. They identify the type of backup, the number of pieces, etc.

You can assign your own backup name, to which will be appended those suffixes.

Ok pity because i HATE it.

Thank you for your reply anyway.

Luds,
A review of link 2 below could be helpful since coming from 2009.
