Disk clones - how are they verified?

Thread needs solution

Presumably True Image 2015 does some kind of verification when a disk is cloned to another? I ask as I've just purchased the software, cloned a 1TB disk to another, but I saw nothing to indicate that it was verifying the data.

Or does it carry some kind of checksum operation at the end?

I'm not aware that TI has ever done any verification of a cloned disk. Does you disk boot correctly? If you make a disk mode backup you can verify the integrity of the backup. Cloning just copies one disk to another.

The cloned disk boots just fine, but that doesn't prove that every single file is intact. :)

Surely TI verifies or checksums the clone against the original?

There is no verification of the fidelity of backup with Acronis software. Even the validation process doesn't ensure that what is in the backup is what is supposed to be there. It just verifies that the backup file was not deteriorated since the time of the backup: validation of integrity, not fidelity.
