Does Acronis True Image 2014 Disk Cloning turn off Windows System Protection

After cloning the system disk in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, the new cloned system had Windows System Protection turned off, even though the system I cloned from had it turned on. When I tried to turn it on again, and configure it, I got an error referring to a problem with the volume or directory name. After I rebooted the error no longer appeared.
Is this a known issue, and also, is it Acronis that is either purposely or accidentally turning it off? If it is purposely, what is the reason?
