Dual Boot from an Image

Hello,

I have a situation where i have an Acronis backup of my old laptop running Win7 64 and i need to get it to run on my new laptop running Win8 64 as a dual boot.

Is this possible?
if it's not possible is there a way to have it running as a virtual machine some how?
