email notifications
My TI2015 is configured to send me an email on completeion of backup. This week they suddenly stopped. When I look at the configuration nothing has changed abnd it all looks correct. However when I try to send a test email it fails with an error code Event code: 0x0064022B+0x0000FFF0+0x80070003
Any ideas?

OK. I am attching my screen settings. The strange thing about this is that it has worked without problems for months with my getting a notification of successful backups. evry day. Then it suddenly stopped and my email settings have not changed at all. My email is handled by Virgin Media and i access it via Outlook. Come to think of it that might just be the problem. I recently upgraded to Office 2016. Could that be the reason it has stopped?

**Edit: typed from a phone originally and the grammar was horrible - bad enough that I felt obligated to correct it **
I suppose it's possible, but hard to tell. You're certainly not the only one to have mail stop working with Acronis notifications all of sudden. There are a few threads about this in the last couple of months. Most are related to Gmail in regards to 2-step verification and/or Gmail less secure apps, but neither seems to apply in your case. I have been using Gmail to automatically pull from Hotmail for years now too and it stopped working for me all of a sudden too (a few weeks ago), so I'm fairly certain Gmail has done something on their end (or Hotmail - maybe both) which is not easily found on the surface.
When you upgraded to Office 2016, did you install it as a stand-a-lone application or as the Office 360 version (subscription based)? That may very well have done something to the account (through Outlook) which is preventing third party apps (at least some) from working. If it flagged Acronis for attempting to access the mail account after it already noticed a change to Outlook recently, maybe there is something in the account that needs to be confirmed first. How we'd identify that though, I have no idea.
Just curious, but what happens if you make a new task with new notification - same problem?

John,
For you to use the virginmedia as your SMTP, on the next line below, you need to use the name and password provided to you by Virgin Media. Such as
Yourname only (try both with and without the @virginmedia.com) as assigned in your virginmedia email account.
Your virginmedia password.
Try both 465 & SSL ,
587 & SSL
John: this is most trial and error on your part. You have the best chance of getting a solution by finding what works for you.
Contact support for VirginMedia for additional assistance. Maybe they made some changes in their system. It doesn't hurt to ask.
The attachment shows an example of what works for me. I use the email address provided by Charter which is my ISP.
