Error 7, Disk is not Found
I have a Win7-64bit system with the True Image 2013 build 5551. I have a 1TB sata HD with two partitions, one of which has two recent full backup files (stored on a separate internal HD) and suffered some file corruption. I'm attempting to restore that partition from a backup file but either file fails right away with an error 7, "Disk is not found".
I've attached this HD via USB3 and directly to a SATA port with the same error either way. However it's connected the partition is fully accessible. I can list the files of both partitions in file explorer, the partitions show in drive manager and in Acronis, and CHKDSK runs with no errors found. Why does Windows and Acronis both see the partitions but Acronis still claims it can't find the disk during recovery?

Scott,
Is the problem from within Windows or from the recovery CD?

The problem occurs when running the Windows-installed Acronis.
I took the alternate approach of booting to the recovery CD and performed a drive to drive copy from there, which did not exhibit the same problem.
