Error encountered when trying to do a full backup
I have Acronis True Image Home® version 9.0 (the latest build, 3854). Today, when I tried to create a Full backup, I clicked through the wizard and right after clicking the "Proceed" button, I got the error message:
E00640067: Failed to run the task
Failed to execute the task script. Error #5 - "Access is denied. (0xFFF0)
code = FFFFFFFF80070005
Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB816".
Can somebody give me some help resolving this? Thanks.

I still expect software that I paid for to work, even if it is a few years old. This is the first time I have actually tried to do a full backup with it. Previously, I just created full drive images. I can't think of anything that I changed. Destination drive is a Flash drive.

Hello Patrick,
Thank you for using Acronis Products
The program requires Windows authorization for a scheduled task execution. That is why you should enter your account name and password both to let Acronis True Image [] log in Windows with Administrator's rights and execute a scheduled task. The user name should be specified in the form of SERVER\USER or DOMAIN\USER.
If the issue still persists then update Acronis scheduler using the following KB article

I'm not sure I'm understanding you. Enter the account name where? I currently don't use a login to use Windows. Please tell me step by step how to do this. Thanks for your post.

Hello Patrick,
Thank you for using Acronis Products
When you create schedule task you should enter Windows credentials, which you use to login to Windows. F you don’t have password for Windows account, leave that field in Acronis True Image program empty.
Have you tried to update Acronis scheduler?
Please do the following:
- Download the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/schedmgr.exe file ;
- Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
- Run the following commands in the folder you saved the file to:
schedmgr task zap
schedmgr service stop
schedmgr service uninstall
schedmgr service install
schedmgr service start
This should delete all the scheduled tasks on the PC. You should manage your scheduled tasks from the scratch.
Also please make sure that Acronis Scheduler2 Service (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services) Startup Type is set to Automatic. Otherwise, please set it to Automatic yourself and reboot your computer.
