Error messages when starting True Image Home 2012

Thread needs solution

I have no interest in running any "Synchronisation" so I have turned off the Sync Agent Service as advised here some time ago.

When starting the prog, I get two Error messages saying

"Failed to start Sync Agent Service"

&

"Error while calling RPC"

I understand why I'm getting the first, but the second one is meaningless.

You shouldn't see either message if you don't use nonstop backup or the sync feature, however, if you once set up the sync or nonstop backup feature, it's harder to backup out of it than to get into it.

Did you ever use these features?

If not, then what I'd do is just uninstall, run the cleaner, reinstall. First I'd try a repair by running the installer and selecting Repair.

No I never USED them, but I do belive I looked at them.

So I did what you suggested (I'd already tried a repair install) and now it seems fine. I've set the Sync Service to Manual, and it seems I don't get that error message now - at least on the couple of times I've started the prog
