Executing a Backup from the Windows Command Line

Thread needs solution

Hi

I have setup a backup job in TI Home 2013. I would like to include its execution in a Windows command file. The command file will be executed by a user whenever the backup job is required.

Is there any command line interface to True Image Home 2013? I have searched for same but have so far drawn a blank.

Create the task you want in ATI.
Click on the gear menu of that task, more, create a shortcut. The shortcut will be created on the desktop of the admin account you use to launch ATI.
Right click on that shortcut, look at the properties. YOu will have all what you need to create a command line file.

"Click on the gear menu of that task"
...I am being stupid here? I don't see any gear menu. :-(

If you mouse over the task, the gear appears right of the backup now button.

Or, another way to get to there is to
Note the SETTINGS option to lower right corner of task window.
Right Click on SETTINGS
Click on other
Click on Create shortcut
The result will be a desktop shortcut with the same name as the task name from which you created the shortcut.

Within the Disk Backup options, there is also the
Pre/post command settings which is a place where you can add batch or command fies to be executed either before or after the backup.

I spoke too soon!

When I follow your instructions, the only items I find under "More" are:
Consolidate versions
Move...
Remove from list.

I see no option to create a shortcut.

Note: I am using Windows 7. I see you are on 8. I don't suppose this makes a difference???

Resolved.

The reason I could not see the "Shortcut" menu item is that I was using a backup job imported from a previous version of ATI (using the "Browse for Backup" option).

I have now done the following:
a) From the Operations Menu of my backup job, selected "Recreate backup settings".
b) Entered and saved the old backup options.
The job is presumably now a fully configured ATI 2013 backup. I can now see the "Create shortcut" item on the Operations Menu.
