extending disk size

Thread needs solution

Can Acronis 2013 help me capture unused disk space, which is not adjacent to my C drive?

Thanks.

It would help to post a screen capture of your Windows Disk Management graphical view. This view will also show whether you have an non-lettered partition against C which you do not see in Explorer.

I "may" be possible this function can be done with windows 7 or 8 and the change is immediate. Or,

I prefer to use free progam such as Partition Wizard where you can see what the changes are going to be and then either discard or enable the changes. This program offers a iso file which can be burnt onto CD and make the changes from the CD wtihout Windows involved.

if the right boundary of Drive C is touching another partiton,(such as a hidden partition) then the other partition will need to be moved to the right in order to create free space directly touching drive C--thus the need for a picture.

If the right boundary of drive C is touching the free space, then you could use the partition utilties "move/resize" option and the siimply drag the right boundary of C into the unallocated space until all free is consumed.

I assume you are talking about gaining GB's of free space. If the free space is only a few MB, then the change is probably not worthwhile.
