External backup drive filling up with Acronis backups.

Thread needs solution

Can I safely delete older Acronis backups of my C:\ Drive so as to create space for new backups to come?

Acronis uses a database to track where backups are. Ideally, you would first look at each backup task tracked by ATI, explore the older versions and delete them. Unfortunately, there are some problems with the delete old version feature in ATI.
So practically, you end up deleting the backup files manually, and it is OK. You just want to make sure you delete entire chains properly.

Dear Pat L: I have ATI 2012? Is there some ATI program that I can invoke to delete older ATI backups of my C:\Drive from my backup hard drive that is filling up? I don't want to manually delete them, if ATI has a program to do that.

If ATI 2012 such a "delete program," what is the program called and where can I find it?

Thanks.
