F11 at boot time
Hi, well my thread I started seems to be gone. That was fast I started it yesterday.
Anyways as someone suggested I reinstalled acronis true image home and I got f11 at boot and went in and the mouse now worked and I did a full system restore. After I got back and a new system restored I open true image and it wanted me to update... so I did and I tried another reboot and pressed f11 and got in and again after the update I now have no mouse or keyboard again.
I use win 7 ultimate 64 and the version of my true image is update 2 build (6857)
Do you suggest I just don't update? But updates are important are they not? Anyways thats where I am now with no ability to restore again.

Well I found a way with this laptop of mine and i have a feeling of restored confidence in having a backup. Anyways the problem was finally found in the two usb wireless stuff. I have a wireless Microsoft keyboard and a wireless Logitech mouse. I fixed it by removing the two usb chips from the laptop and then I regained use of the laptops keyboard and mouse pad.
Whew... finally fixed and can now backup and restore with confidence and that's a good feeling. I know, I know how stupid can I be but not being a computer geek I am proud that I figured it out. I think I got confused because my wife's computer has a wireless mouse and hers worked so I guess that threw me off the trail.....anyways thanks for all your help.
Who knows maybe another non-computer geek will find my experience useful.
Thanks.
