F9 recovery menu deleted by Windows 7 installation
Hi, first of all sorry for my poor English...
I've a Dialogue Flybook notebook that have Acronis True image to recovery the original vista s.o. with an hidden partition or with two DVD.
I've updated my pc with windows 7 without delete the hidden recovery partition but now I can't see the F9 shortcut at boot and i can't start True Image software, maybe windows 7 have deleted the original MBR information.
There's a way to have windows 7 and have also the recovery menu at boot?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you MudCrab, I've Acronis True Image OEM Edition (build 3.814)
After Windows 7 installation ASRM doesn't start also with F11.
Now I've make a complete recovery to Vista with the 2 DVD but I would like to be able to access Acronis true image at the boot also with Windows 7 installed (obviously leaving the hidden partition).

Please, someone can help me?

The OEM version may be different from the retail version of TI in how the ASRM works.
If you restored your Vista image (I assume it was an Entire Disk Image restore), and the ASRM is working again, you could try installing Windows 7 and then just restoring the MBR/Track 0 from the image and see if that restores the ASRM boot option.
Do you have the TI OEM CD? When you boot it, does it have an option to reactivate the ASRM (either in the menu or in TI)?

I've restored vista image, now i can start TI pressing F9 on boot.
I don't have TI OEM CD but 2 dvd to restore Vista without the hidden partion (always with TI but i can start ASRM).
Now how can I save vista MBR and restore it in windows 7?
Maybe I can Unhide the hidden TI partion (with ptedit32) and try to start ASRM in windows 7 (How?) , then hide again...
Thank you so much.

Do you have the option to restore just the MBR/Track 0 from your Vista image? If so, you would need to do that after installing Windows 7 (or upgrading to Windows 7) and see if it would restore the ASRM F9 boot option.
Can you post a screenshot of what partitions are available to restore from your Vista image (what TI OEM shows when you select what to restore)? It may help to see it.
I assume the OEM version doesn't install/run in Windows 7 (if you even have an installer).

No I can't restore MBR/Track o from TI, my Ti version only run at boot (i think in linux).
I can restore the 3 partitions:
1) Acronis
2) Vista
3) Data
but not a single file (I Must upgrade to do this).
Yes OEM version run only at boot.
I've unhide the Acronis partition, Is there way to start "manually" the TI application at windows 7 boot and then run ASRM?
Thanks
