re: True Image Home 2009
Backup halted for 2 different but related messages. How do I fix?

From one day to another without changing anything I run into the same problem, XP. TIH 2009 latest build. Same error window, cannot run a backup.
I've checked drive C: (in Win-Explorer right click on C: Properties, Extras, check-for-errors, both checked, reboot, no errors found).
How to get rid of this error message?

Are you running a "file/folder" or a "disk/partition" backup? If you are running a "file/folder" backup you could exclude the System Volume folder as a workaround. Are you running the backup while logged in as a user with administrative rights? These errors usually point to a problem with the backup software not having the correct permissions to lock/read the files during backup.

It was a file/folder backup triggering the error window. I'm the one and only user of that PC and having always Adminrights. As said before. The backup process was an older task, did run well for months. But since yesterday this error message popped-up. Tried it even with a new task on a different HDD.
I've searched for the system volume folder, couldn't find it on C:\ (showing all folders/files is already activated)

Enable "show protected operatting system files" and "show hidden files and folders" in the folder view options in Windows to be able to view "all" files on your system.

If you have system protection enabled, disable it. This will clean up the restore points stored there.

Thanks for your suggestions. Did run the Tune Up Utility and it cleaned up some older systsem restore-data. After that TIH did run again and made the backups.
This is strange. I've no clue why this did happen.
