Failed to Exclusively Access Backup

Thread needs solution

I received the following error message: "Failed to exclusively access backup
\\DLINK-4AAB55\Volume_2\Memories|Acer_Desktop_3_full_b25_s1_v1.tib during consolidation. Make sure the backup file is not opened in another application."

My D-Link 4AAB55 NAS went bad and I removed it from my LAN. I then created a new backup on another NAS on my LAN. The error message occurs when the new backup runs. The backup file for Acer Desktop 3 is on the same volume in the new NAS as the new backup I created.

True Image will create a full backup, five differential backups, a full backup, five differential backups and another full backup, all on the same day, after the above error message.

How can I get True Image 2015 to know that the D-Link NAS is no longer used and the Memories backup is not valid? How an I get it to just create the new backup with the differential scheme I intend; full backup then five differential backups on consecutive days, then another full backup and five differentials, etc?

I couldn't find how to include the Acronis Build Number, but I have the latest version of True Image 2015.

Thanks for your help.

I had this problem. I selected the backup and clicked on Operations>Validate. Messages will come up saying that different backups can't be found so just hit the button that says ignore this series or something similar. Do that for each one and next time the backup should run without the error.
