Failure of keyboard to type a password !
Hello !
User for several years of the old ( ~ 2004) French version " DISK EXPERT" of "TRUE IMAGE", I have a very big problem with the restoration of an image. I explain :
- 1 / following a crash of my desktop computer HEWLETT-PACKARD / Windows XP / SP3, I redid a "starting CD " in" complete version " with my second computer, a portable TOSHIBA, too under Windows XP / SP3 (NB: I misled an old CD of starting up)
- 2 / I thus started the HP with this CD, then I had the following stages:
- Logo " ACRONIS "
- Then: "Cloneur Expert"
- Then: choice of the restoration of an image, the path of which appears in the window.
- Then " give the password ". I type then this PW, but it is refused 1 time, twice ...
- I go back and I type it - to see it " in light " - in the line where appears normally the name of the file .tib to restore
- 3 / and there, very unpleasant surprise : this PW - which contains a character "A" - has this character transformed in "Q" !!!
- 4 / I type then in this line ALL the alphabetical characters, which are ALL OK ... except the "A"
- 5 / I leave everything, switches off my HP and switches then on " mode without failure with DOS cmd window" , to try the KEYBfr, KEYBus... If everything is then normal (I have well "A" character), the problem come back when I restarts with the CD of starting up " Acronis " ==> I am cornered since I cannot restore my system on the HP !!
So, here is my request : would anybody have an idea of solution? Can we shunt for example the password?
Thank you in advance for any answer !
Cordially,
SosPel
