File Backup will not pick up 'Google' Drive

Thread needs solution

I set up a file backup with TIH 2012. It was set up as an incremental of one folder called "ScottsData". In that folder is a folder that is a Google drive. When making the initial backup the Google Drive folder is not included. This occurs when sync is on and when sync is off for the Google drive. Anyone else experienced this?

I am using True Image Home 2013 with Vista, backing up to an external hard drive.

I have the same problem with Google Drive not being included in an incremental file backup. When I unchecked the check box System Files under advanced setting > exclusions, the folder was included in the backup, but then so were a lot of system files I don't want in that backup. In a disk/partition backup the file was included, but that runs with the System Files Exclusion box unchecked. When I ran a backup with only the Google Drive folder selected for backup, it does backup the folder regardless of the setting of the System Files Exclusion check box.

For now, I will continue to do a separate backup on the Google Drive folder.

This makes me very uneasy about backups. Are other folders being excluded that I don't know about? If there is a reason the folder is skipped without warning, I'd like to know what it is. And why would a folder backup work when it is the only folder in the backup but not when part of a multiple folder backup when the advanced settings for both are the same.
