File info missing from Synology NAS

Hello all, I have recently purchased a NAS drive from Synology for my backups but have a problem validating. I backup using FTP which works fine but I cannot validate the .tib as TI says it is corrupt - HOWEVER - if I copy the .tib to my local HDD I can validate without a problem. I did notice that when browsing for the .tib on the NAS the filename and file info was missing.
This info shows fine if browsing to my local HDD? Any help welcome...
