getting files with bac sectors instead of sector numbers during extraction of Acronis Image

Thread needs solution

I am trying to extract an Acronis Image on a disk with several known bad sectors (disk failed mfgr surface test), hopeing that the bad sectors do not belong to required system files. When I get to the bad sectors, Acronis gives an error message showing the sector number, and an option to ignore the option and continue. It would be way more useful to know the file to which those sectors belong, especially since the image is file by file instead of sector by sector. Or, to suggest to the programming team the next version would be better if you could get the name of the damaged file(s) instead of the absolute sector number?

Dave,
The software is only capable of seeing the bad sectors. In the case of physical failure, if the disk cannot be read, then there is no way to know what existed previously. More helpful would be to have multiple back ups of the data or disk you wish to protect so there is minimal frustration when a drive fails.
