Harddisk cloning problems
I try to cone my Internal Harddisk (Samsung 2.5" 1000GB) to the same Harddisk type, connected to a USB 2 Port.
With TrueImage Home 2011 it was possible to clone the Harddisk.
With TrueImage Home 2012 the cloning fails.
The Notebook is restarting.
You will see the ARONIS Logo and for a Short time an light blue screen.
Then the Notebook reboots again and Windows 7 (32bit) is starting up again.
No Error Message will be displayed

I always tried to clone the other way. (The Source is inside the Notebook, the New, Cloned Harddisk stays as External Harddisk)
I clone my Harddisk every week (on the weekend), so if something happens, I don't loose to many Importend data and I just remove the old Harddisk and insert the cloned Harddisk
Only in case that the Main Harddisk gets faulty, I will swap the Harddisk.

If I create an Bootable Media and Start TrueImage 2012 from There, the cloning is working as aspected
It seams that there is still a bug in the Software, that it doesn't work direct from Windows (aftr rebooting)

Probably. For a long time now, versions of ATI have been working better from the recovery CD when it is about cloning a system disk.

Does your advice hold true for a PC?
( I wish to clone the main HDD in my PC by using an external enclosure connected via USB.)
I've had Acronis 9.0 Home for a few years, but have never before used it for cloning. Now my main HDD is clicking away, however, I guess it's time I cloned!
