Help - Lost access to Windows Backup & Restore.

Win 7 Home Prem 64 Bit
I installed Acronis True Image 2011 (upgrade from 2010).

But when I went to Control Panel, then Backup & Restore, the Acronis opened up.
So, not seeing where to turn that off. I uninstalled the program.

Now when I go to Control Panel, then Back up & Restore - no window opens!
Nor when I go to Start/Maintence/BackUp & Restore.

I then tried Windows Action Center, on the left side of the window & see Backup & Restore- but nothing opens. On the right side I see Recovery. Selecting this does open the System Restore - and there are my restore points. Though the earliest points are (windows) images - so not sure I want to try that.

So some how the short cuts in Control Panel & Start Menu stopped working.

I then went to Services, to see if anything stood out.
Windows Back up - is set to Started & Manual. Should it be Automatic ?

Any suggestions?
