How to delete unwanted folders from Online Storage

Thread needs solution

I was using the Sync feature of ATIH 2012 to sync between two computers and the Online Storage. I had some computer problems and had to reinstall ATIH 2012. Everything seems to be running smoothly but when i go to check my Online Storage capacity it has some leftover folders that i would like to delete. How do i do that?

Thanks,
Brad

You need to select the folders by putting a check mark in the box next to each folder you wish to delete. There is a small icon to the right, that when you you click it, you should see a few options, one of which will be delete. I tried this with a backup I created today, and was able to delete the folders contained in the backup, but not the backup itself. I opened ATIH locally, and signed in, and then deleted the backup task from my system, and it deleted the backup from the cloud. I don't know how you would remove the backup completely from the cloud if you no longer have the task in your list of backups locally. Looks like there should be a way, but I could not find it. At least you can delete the folders in each backup to reclaim the cloud storage space.

I just installed and made the mistake of backing up to the cloud and it said it would take 36 days and I was only able to pause it, but I do not want to purchase cloud space and I want to delete the unwanted cloud backup.  How do I do it?  chseder@gmail.com

Clayton, welcome to these user forums.

You have posted in the Acronis Older Versions product forum - what product have you just installed? - if it is Acronis True Image Home 2016 then you are given a 30 day free trial of the Cloud storage, after this ends, then any data stored in the Cloud will be deleted after a further 30 day period where you will be sent several email reminders from Acronis about the Cloud trial that you can ignore.

If you have purchased Acronis True Image 2016 Cloud then you will need to contact Acronis Support if you have bought the wrong product as we cannot help you with product purchase or licensing issues in these user forums.

For your Cloud backup that says it would take 36 days, then I would suggest opening the Cloud Dashboard and taking the option there to remove / delete your backup.  You can also try ending all the Acronis Services and Processes on your computer then deleting the backup task script for your Cloud backup from the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder.  If you have more than one script file (.TIS) in the folder, open each one with a text editor such as Notepad and look for the task name near the top of the XML file.

I had already gone on the acronis site, signed in and could then see what I needed to do to delete the cloud backup and it worked.

It's always encouraging when things work.
