How do I deactivate a system to regain its license?
I have a "Family Pack" license for 3 systems. I'm currently setting up a new machine as a replacement for one that's currently using one of my licenses.
What's the procedure for deactivating the old system once I've shut it down to allow activating the installation on the new system?

That's not what happened. I just got a little popup telling me that I had too many activations.
I realized though that I forgot that I had already installed TI 2014 on my laptop. It's also installed on my 2 desktop machines.
I'm setting up a new Win7 system to replace one of my desktop machines and I got the too many activations message when I tried to install TI 2014 on it.
I decided to uninstall TI 2014 from the laptop for a while 'til there's only two desktop machines running. When I did, I got sent to the Acronis Web site where I was asked why I was uninstalling the product. I'm hoping that the installation on the 3rd machine was deactivated when I did that.
I'll find out in a few minutes.

Looks like I screwed things up by downloading a "trial" version and then trying to "upgrade" it, or maybe I simply didn't follow the instructions correctly.
Anyway, I logged on to my account and downloaded the TI2014 installation file from there and entered my serial number.
When I fired the program I then got the "too many activations" message that you described, and was then able to transfer the license from the laptop. I guess uninstalling the software from the laptop wasn't enough to free up the license.
Anyway, I've got the software installed and activated on the new machine. By going through this exercise now, I'll know how to get the license from the soon-to-be scrapped desktop machine transferred to the laptop.
