How do I temporarily stop scheduled backups in Acronis True Image 2013?

Thread needs solution

I have scheduled backups that run once per hour. Sometimes, I am using intensive computer resources (watching a hi-res video, etc), and the video could get interrupted if the backup runs during the middle of a video. Yet, I do not want to use the "run only while idle" option, because at most other times I want the backups to run every hour even while using the computer.

What I want, is like an ON/OFF switch, so that while watching a video, I can turn off the Acronis Scheduler and stop the hourly backups until I need the backups to be running again.

Currently, I see no way of doing this short of opening the Task Manager, and performing "END TASK" on each of the Acronis scheduler processes. This could cause system instability, especially if one of the processes happens to be already accessing the disk when I terminate it.

Is there a cleaner, smoother, safer way to do this, so that I can turn off the scheduler, and then back on again easily with the click of one button?

I don't want to edit my backup settings, because I have scheduled about 5 different backups, and I would have to edit each and every one of them which would be a lot slower than using "END TASK".

I want it so that when I turn OFF the scheduler, it will go into "LOW RESOURCE" mode, and it will make NO backups, and it will use only minimal to 0 resources so that I can fully use the computer for other tasks.

Thanks.

Hi Victor,
Sounds like a good idea but nothing like that exists on TrueImage Home. Perhaps add the suggestion to the wish list at this link.
