How do I winnow the backup list?

Thread needs solution

I have been using Acronis True Image 2013 built 5551 for months, backing up to a three terabyte external hard drive at home, and a smaller 1 terabyte hard drive when I travel. I rotate the nightly backups, so I have the past few and a scattering of earlier ones. The problem is that the software stores every backup I ever made, thus taking longer and longer to load each time. Is there any convenient way to winnow the list, so it only sees backups in whatever drive and folder I tell it to look in? Having a list of hundreds of backups-- most of which no longer exist-- is an increasing problem....

I'm a newby but what I would try is either turn on the cleanup option in the "Disk backup options" window for each backup task, or delete individual tibs in the "Backup explorer" window (If you can find it :-) )

Joel,

If you have the feature turned on to "Search for Backup at Startup" then the software will scan all drives connected to your computer for backup files to add to the Backup and Recovery tab.

Additionally, if you have a backup task(s) in your list that points to a disconnected drive Acronis will have to time out when looking for it at startup before loading the main screens.

I would start by turning off the "Search for Backup at Startup" http://forum.acronis.com/forum/31895 and then removing any tasks that you are no longer using from the task list screen (Backup and Recovery tab).
