How do you Unmount an Image?
How do you unmount an image using TI home 2010?
With TI 8 it was so easy: Right-click on image and click "UNPLUG".
I absolutely hate the new interface. V8 was so much more intuitive.

Thanks Steve!
I don't have any of those options, probably becuase I mounted it on a freenas server.

Hi, ok if you are using a freenas server, you will need to login via the web gui interface then select Disks >> Mount Point from the menu bar and drop down list, then select the Tools tab so that you are on the Disks | Mount Point | Tools page.
From there, you can choose the Mount Point for the mounted image and then choose the Command to 'umount' the image by clicking on the Execute button. umount is the Linux command to unmount a drive.

Thanks, again - Never thought of doing it that way. I was just going to reboot.

I am trying to unmount an image. However if I select the Windows unmount command on explorer menu or select the Unmount Image option through the Tools and Utilities panel, I receive the error "Cannot start the tool because another tool is running". The only tool that I can determine is running is the one that created the images and True Image 2014! So how can I unmount this image?

Suzanne,
Not sure if this will help you but will offer it up anyway:

Suzanne, in addition to the knowledge base article referenced above, check that you do not have any automatic defragmentation utility running which has picked up the mounted drive, such as IObit's Smart Defrag, this could result in placing a lock on the drive and preventing it being unmounted. Have had this happen with USB drives though not with an Acronis image when mounted.
Rebooting your system would normally be another recommendation, however, the KB article suggests this type of problem can be caused by rebooting with a mounted image, so if rebooting, I would suggest doing so in Safe Mode in the first place, assuming you are running Windows.

Dear Enchantech and Steve,
Thanks for your quick responses.
After adding my comment, I continued to review the forum and found an ugly workaround to solve the problem. Out of desperation, I cancelled all of the Acronis tasks through task manager; Then unmount each of the drives thru Windows. As I said, it was ugly and dangerous but it worked perfectly.
