How to get backups to be listed on the front panel, Acronis 2015 (disk and partition)

Thread needs solution

I have so far made three backups. At one stage they appeared on the front panel under Backups, but I cannot get them to be shown there again. When I click on +ADD and then on the right panel and then the backup drive E, I can see the backups, but I cannot delete any. I would like to keep two and delete one manually. Should I delete them in Windows Explorer (I have Win 7, 64 bit).

With ATI 2015, you cannot delete individual backup versions from the UI. You can remove backup tasks though, which are listed on the left side. When ATI scans and finds a TIB file that it cannot link to a task, it will list this file as a "has-run-once-task".
With ATI 2015, you have to delete your TIB files manually, but this is risky. If you delete the wrong file in an incremental chain, the entire chain is screwed up.

To delete tasks, simply select the task on the left, and choose delete in "operations".
To delete versions, move any TIB file you want to keep to another directory on the same disk/partition, delete the backup task, and create a new task

Hi Pat L, thanks for your answer. I make disk and partition backups, Custom, full. On the left my backups do not appear at all. I only see E:\Mybackups\Mypartitions. I can find the backups by clicking on +ADD, Backup and then I click on the tree until I see them under E:\
How do you move the .Tib file. I tried to do it in Explorer and when I click on +ADD and the Tree on the left, it is still there. Helga

Hi Pat L, I have just uninstalled Acronis 2015 and I have gone back to Acronis 2014, which does, what I want it to do (one full backup of disk and partitions/week. I keep two backups and I delete the third one manually. It just cannot be done with Acronis 2015. I am very disappointed in the new version. It also means that I cannot have the latest version and I am wondering, whether I need to look for different software. I have had Acronis for many years and I wish they still had something that works. Helga

If ATI 2014 works on your hardware, you don't miss anything. No need to upgrade...

...I'm in the same situation of Helga, coming from previous ATI versions and having ALREADY upgraded to 2015...

...and the quoted statement above is the weird point... ain't it...?

...So, why on earth Acronis came with a product there is "no need to upgrade" to... (....???!!!)
What's the meaning of an "upgrade" to something there is no need to upgrade for, and, what's more, of something if you do "UPGRADE" you even LOSE and MISS features you had in "lower" versions....????

...Why should ever customers eventually move "forward" (...) ...???

...weird, and twisted... possibly.......
