How to replaces the existing backup

Thread needs solution

I need to know how to set up True Image 2014 so that each new backup replaces the existing backup. I have limited backup storage and have a large amount to backup.

And a related question .. as I accumulate new daily backups of data files, can I delete the older ones on the external hard drive where they are stored, keeping only the original full backup and the newest incremental backup, or must all incremental backups be kept? In other words, does wiping out older partial backups compromise accuracy of the data if I ever need to do a recovery?

This posting is a duplciate.

Howard,
See the above.

When deleting incremental backups, the deleting should be performed via the TrueImage program options.
All files must be kep in sequence . Only the very most recent can be deleted so that the original sequential chain remains intact. You can continue deleting the most recent to reduce the number of backups and the size of the backup. Do NOT start deletion by deleting the oldest inc as that will cause all inc to be useless and only the full will be restorable.

The best solution would be to stop using your existing tasks and create new tasks with the special backup schemes which will do its own deletion of older backups automatically.
