How To Transfer a computer to new hardware which is RAID 0, using Acronis

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have a Win 7 computer all stored on a single conventional disk drive c.

I have built a new computer and want to use Acronis True Image Home 2011 (or Disk Director) to make a back up file and transfer the whole thing over to the new computer, operating system and all.

The New computer should be Win 7 too of course (since its a copy of the old). AND the new computer will use a RAID 0 HD set up (the old one did not). Can this be done?

Its easy to make a backup copy of the current computer on an external drive, but what will happen to it when it is used to restore to the new computer, and will there be an opportunity to create that RAID 0 array during the process?

A little about the new hardware if it matters, its an EVGA SR-2 motherboard, brand new computer not yet turned on, and build it myself. Its is said to have internal MOB RAID 0 support among other things. It has two Xeon CPUs and lots of RAM.

Other tools available include a copy of VMware Workstation 7.0. I dont just want to make the old machine into a virtual machine and transfer it over because I really want the host machine to be my current (old) functioning machine with all my patches and hard work, not a fresh instal of Win 7 on the new machine which just runs a virtual copy of my old machine.
