image overwriting problem

I have Acronis TI home 2010, and the drive i backup to is only large enough to hold one backup.

so i have it set to make a full backup each time and to overwrite the old backup.
but, acronis doesnt delete the old backup untill the new backup is complete, - this does not work, because the drive runs out of space and gives the 'disk full' error.

this means that i cannot schedule Acronis, because i have to manually delete the old backup first.

is there anything i can do?

What build of TI 2010 are you using? If it's not the latest (7,046), you might try updating and see if it helps.

You should be able to make a batch file to delete the old backup file and then run the batch file as a pre-command in the TI task.
