Incredibly slow restore from a DS209 NAS

My entire network is GigE. There is one dlink GigE switch between the NAS and the PC nothing else.

I tried to do a restore using ATI 2012 Home edition and it takes around 8 hours. The full backup from that laptop to the NAS takes 1 hour. So ATI has no issues doing the backup it's only doing the restore from CD that seems to be a problem. It takes about an hour before it even shows any indication that it is restoring anything. I believe I have done the same restore before using ATI 2011 and it took 40 minutes.

I even tried copying the file to another PC on my home network and making it sharable and restoring from that with pretty much the same results.

I have seen others mention enabling jumbo frames which I do not have enabled.. but if that was the case, why do I not have any issues copying files, doing the backups or anything else?
