Incremental Back up??

Thread needs solution

Hey Guys, I have a few back ups that run once a week, Today ONE is taking over 2 hours to run. it is set to do Incremental .. Nothing too much was added to the folders! Why would an incremental back up take so long to run??? Thanks!

Marc,
We don't have much info to go on here.
I "assume" that you are saying the backup scheme is set to "incremental". Am I correct that it the backup scheme you refer?

If the backup task is also set to validation, the more in number you have of incemental files, the longer each day validation will require.
Other possibilities could be that you have a user response messae pending in the sys tray,
Another possibility is that you have disk errors and are having multiple reads.
Or, you have file errors causing issues. A check for errors may be warranted.
Another possibility is that your system did an auto defrag and as a result, the backup time and size will be the same a new full.
Have you checked the log file for any messages?

How many incremental backup files do you have now in your storage folder?
