incremental backup failed/corrupt. Now what

There are many reasons to cause a corrup file--some hardware related such as memory modules.
My frist suggestion would be to check both the source and target disk for errors.
From a command prompt
CHKDSK X: /R (where x is the drive letter for the disk being checked)

If you have prior incrementals of the same main, then select and validate an earler creation.

If that validates, you can then delete just the single bad inc after checking for disk errors.
