Incremental backups half the size of full

Thread needs solution

I'm using the File Backup option. The first backup was ~ 500MB. The second and third backups were ~ 250MB. The backup is run daily. Disk defragmenter is disabled from running automatically.

There have been just three backups - the original one and one each on the next two days.

Because the original was run on Friday, none of the files have been changed [the files being backed up are my work files].

If there isn't a way to get the size of the incremental backups close to 0 [when there have been no changes to the files], I'll simply stop and not order ATI.  [I'm using the trial version]

Here are the settings for Backup scheme:

Custom Scheme

Backup Method:  Incremental

Create only incremental versions after the initial full version is checked.

Automatic consolidation settings is set to 'Storage period of old backup versions exceeds [days]:  365.

Is there any chance that you have selected some hidden files (like system volume information, ...)
Turn off the option to hide hidden files and protected system files and review your selection.

Thanks for your comment.

Nope. The files chosen are in their own folders. E.g., the work documents are all in $User.
