Incremental Backups - Which Initial File?

Thread needs solution

I have a ridiculously simple question to ask. Almost embarrassingly simple, actually, but I haven't been able to find an answer. If I make and name a full backup (TI Home 2010 on Windows 7 64-bit), then make incremental backups, which file do I select as the source file? Perhaps that's not clear. Let's say I make a full backup on June 8th and call it FullbackupJune8.tib, then make an incremental backup on June 10th called IncrementalbackupJune10.tib. Naturally, I'd select the full backup file I made on the 8th as my source, but suppose I make another incremental backup on the 12th? Would I then browse to and select the full backup made June 8th as my source for the incremental backup on the 12th or the incremental backup I made on the 10th?

Jonathan,
The first full is the foundation and base of your backup. Any incremental is only storing the changes made since the last INCREMENTAL.

If the full was on Sunday and incremental-1 is Tuesday and Incremental-2 is Friday,
The -1 contains the changes from Sunday to Tuesday; the -2 contains changes from Tuesday to Friday.
So it is up to you just to choose which date you want to match and TrueImage will restore accordingly.
If you choose Friday to restore, the first file restored will be the full and then -1 and then -2.
If you choose Sunday, to restore, then select the Sunday file and only the full will be restored. None of the incrementals will be restored as they are newer than the user selected Sunday to be restored.

Add to the previous incremental file. If you add to the last full, you make your previous incremental file irrelevant (just like if you were creating a differential).
