Install Issue with ATI V10 - Serial # incorrect

Thread needs solution

I am trying to install ATI Home V10.0.4942_s_en.exe from the download support sent me. I am using the SN from my account. However, I receive the message "The serial number is incorrect. Please enter the correct number."

Please advise how to correct.

Not sure. My CD does not work, so support sent me a download link to the version listed above. He did mention that he was going to send me the latest build.

Okay, when you get the message that the serial number is incorrect, was that after entering your serial number into a "Previous product" serial number box?

No, just says "Please enter the Acronis True Image Home serial number.

"Please enter the product's serial number. If you received your serial number in an email, you may copy and paste it into the box below."

Re your CD, is it just not reading correctly? If so, power down and unplug your system, remove the CD and its cover, then remove the internal top plate covering the laser/lens, carefully clean the lenses with ear swaps (Q-tips) moistened with isopropyl alcohol, reassemble and install back into your computer, and more than likely your CD drive will read CDs again.

Thanks, but it is just that one CD that does not read. Tried several after it and they read fine. Even cleaned the CD, but still does not work and then tried it in my work laptop and same result.

Well, since the software isn't accepting your serial number, I guess you might try Acronis' online chat and see if you can get the issue resolved. Do you have a license for the full version or for an upgrade version? Maybe they sent you a link for the wrong version?

Wow, 4.5 hours later and no reply from an actual Acronis employee! Is this typical?
