Install issues

Thread needs solution

Howdy all,

I had True Image Enterprise w/ Universal Restore (v9.5) up and running on a Server 2003 R2 (32bit) box. I went to upgrade to v9.7 and it failed. I attempted a clean install of Acronis and then attempted to install 9.7 again with no change. I even tried installing v9.5 clean with the same issue. The wizard always says that it was interrupted. I have verified that I have ended all unneeded services and programs during the procedure.

I have attached one of the install debug logs.

Please let me know if anyone can decipher my (install) issues.

Thanks!
Alan

Nevermind, I was able to resolve this issue with the following steps:

Delete Acronis True Image Backup Archive Explorer:
Right-click on My Computer and select Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager > Delete the Acronis TrueImage Backup Archive Explorer device under Acronis Devices

Delete Acronis VSS Provider from Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Component Services -> Computers -> My Computer ->

COM+ Applications -> System Application

Delete the \Windows\System32\snapapiVSS.dll file if it exists

Find and delete all registry keys (Start->Run->Regedit -> CTRL-F) which contain the following GUIDs:
