Installation Testing

Thread needs solution

I am a developer, and as such i ned to make installation scripts for my databases and applications.

I want to be able to have a dedicated testing machine that i can restore to a empty point. So maybe make an image of the disk and restore it, or use the try and decide option to allow this.

But I don't see how i can do this without installing acronis on my test server.

Is there another way to do this? Or how can i do this with true image.

If you buy ATI, you can install it on any machine and make a bootCd and then uninstall it. You can use the BootCD to backup and restore without any further installations.

If you buy the product in the box, I belive you get a Bootcd readymade, obviating the need to install ATI tomake a bootCD, but it might be an old build of the program depending on how long the box has been on the shelf.

I think most current versions of TI also have an ISO download available in your Acronis account (for registered products). If you have this option, you can download the ISO and create a CD without needing to install TI.

Another option for installing TI to create a CD without bothering your current system is to install it in a VM (assuming you already have VM software setup).
