Installing Previous version without Licence?

I am licenced for TI 8.0, 9.0 Home, 2009 Home and 2011 Home. I am running 64bit Windows 7. I don't particularly like the 2011 version but was forced to install it when I got my new system, switching off of XP. I've read where 2010 is the last version without problems (I only do full backups, nothing special) so I was wondering if I can install TIH 2010 using any other of my licenses? If I can't (which is likely), there is mention that others have managed to get 2009 working on Windows 7 64bit. Does anybody know why it worked for them and how to go about doing it? I find anything newer confusing and before I retired I was a system manager (albeit on mainframes (DEC)).
