issues running the ISO (downloaded from the web site)

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I tried to download the bootable ISO from this web site, but I cannot find any tool which will burn it to SD Card since there build is non standard (when mounting the ISO, it shows a directory called "Recovery Manager" and the files are in it, instead of the files being on the root of the ISO, so tools like Rufus and other tools refuse to burn it). Which tool can I use to put this ISO on A SD Card?

Another problem: I tried to boot this ISO on a VM machine, I select the True Image 2015 option (first one), it boots, shows Acronis Logo (the white logo) and then it shows a briefly an error about a DM (if I'm not mistaken) and it immediately reboots. Is it possible to change the script so it waits few seconds or wait for a key press, so I can see the exact error please?

Thanks

In Windows 7 and 8, you can natively create a bootable CD/DVD: Right-click the .iso and select "Burn disc image".

To make an .iso bootable from a USB flash drive or SD card requires a third-party solution. I use such a tool, but it has issues with newer UEFI PCs.

If you have ATI installed, you can use the Acronis Media Builder function to create a bootable USB flash drive. It may also support SD, but I don't know for sure as I've never tried that.

Hetz,

The ISO is standard, it just that the files are Linux files so the booting files will not show up using Windows File Explorer.

As Tuttle says Windows 7 and above will be able to make a Cd/DVD from the ISO, or you can use something like RMUSBPREP which will boot the actual ISO from a USB stick or external drive.
