keyboard - mouse fails when using Boot CD ATIH 2012

Thread needs solution

I have a Lenovo desktop. When I boot to the ATIH 2012 CD, the first screen works fine.
I select the True Image.

On the second screen, I cannot select Restore, the mouse and keyboard do not work.

On the Keyboard, the NumLock key does not toggle NumLock LED, and the CapsLock key does not toggle the CapsLock LED.

The keyboard is a wired Dell USB, and the mouse is a wired Microsoft USB.

I have downloaded the "latest" 2012 Boot CD, still same results.

Any suggestions?
If I pay for the 2014 version, what are the odds it will work correctly?

(FWIW, I tried the free backup called Redo which operates from a boot CD, and it worked well with the Lenovo desktop PC; mouse & keyboard had no problems. I prefer the Acronis True Image.)

Greetings,
If you are using the latest build of ATIH 2012, the problem could be that your hardware is not supported. Its not possible for the boot CD to support every hardware configuration. Other things to check are you BIOS settings (legacy support, EHCI handoff). If the PC has USB 2.0 ports. try using them instead of 3.0 if present.

Hardware support improves with every release. You can test a 2014 boot CD for free.

You do need to have a Acronis User Acct, which is also free.
