lenovo ideapad u310 bootable media wont boot

Thread needs solution

System wont boot on this lenovo laptop. I have gone into the bios and enabled legacy mode cause if I dont secureboot wont let anything boot but the crap of win 8. I see the text menu of the 3 acronis options to select and I choose the true image home and from there it hangs for like a minute then it shows the acronis colored logo and stays there with loading please wait msg. Any fixes for this ??

If you have disabled secure boot and enabled legacy boot, and if Acronis doesn't load, then there is some hardware support issue.
You would have to upgrade to the Plus Pack and create a WinPE-based recovery disk, and use Grub4DOS to make a bootable USB flash drive (this is what i have).

I'll add this comment in case it helps someone else.

Using Acronis 2013 True Image with Plus Pack and built a bootable ISO; burned onto CD; booting on external USB drive on my Lenovo Thinkpad 430u.

Boot from CD gets past menu for boot choices (1. True Image, 2. Acronis System Report, c. Continue booting) and then hangs at "Acronis. Loading, please wait...". It hangs for both True Image and System Report.

With the hint above from @Pat L, I changed the Secure Boot Options to use Legacy (and prefer Legacy First). That immediately fixed my challenge and I was able to boot from CD.
