Log file

Thread needs solution

I was able to find a log file of backups on earlier versions of True image but can't find how to reach the log file on 2012. Does it still exist? if so how do I access it?. I am also having problems deleting files from my backup device.

Hello Brian Bailey,

Thank you for joining us here on our Forum. I really appreciate your post.

I will gladly answer your questions and assist you with your requests.

With Acronis True Image Home 2012 we have actually further improved the logging mechanism, enabling dedicated logging for each and every operation, such as backup, mount, recovery, Non-Stop Backup, Try&Decide, and so forth; including more informative, one-time operations logging such as editing tasks and moving backups; and the addition of a calendar view logging feature that helps track for successful operations or those with warnings or errors.

You may access the logs from multiple locations. For backup specific logs, you may click on the cogwheel on the right-hand side of the backup task in the backup list, and you will see an option to "View log"; for a general overview of all log entries, you may simply click on the cogwheel beside the Help icon and your visible email address you are registered with, and choose to "View log".

It is highly recommended that you delete Backup Archives from the product interface as opposed to physically locating them and deleting them through Window Explorer. Instead, we have the option to either right-click on the backup item from the backup list and choose "Delete", or the cogwheel to the far right side of the backup item can be clicked and the same "Delete" option can be selected. This operation will completely delete the backup from the storage device it resides in, so please use with caution. Also, please note that external hard disk drives or other storage devices that you would like to delete backups from should be connected prior to attempting to delete them.

Should you have any further questions regarding Acronis True Image Home 2012 and its features and operations, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be most happy to help answer them.
