Managing space requirements

Thread needs solution

I will soon run out of space on my external 3TB harddrive. Shall I merely delete folders of old backups or is there a setting that will help me do that automatically?

There are 2 folders I know are not important to me from a backup standpoint (did them incorrectly when I was just starting to use Acronis). May I delete those with no other program consequences?

Thank you.

The deletions should be done from within the Acronis software if possible.

Can you provide information about the version of Acronis you are using, and if the backup(s) are listed in the Acronis user interface anywhere?

Acronis True Image Home 2012
Update 2 , Build 7119

When the initial window loads, it shows the folders I am using as well as the old one I would like to eliminate.
And of course I can see the folder as it shows when I view folders in my external hard drive in Windows Explorer.

Actually, someone from Acronis helped me set up my options, etc. when I first started. Is it possible he set up my software so it automatically deletes the oldest version backup when space is needed?

Thx so much for your help.
