Moving Acronis Backup Files Disaster - Help to avoid future problems

Thread needs solution

Yesterday, I made a serious boo boo and ended up losing all except one file of my backup history. My one backup drive became full. I went into Acronis 2013 and could not find any menu action to move most of them to an archive drive. So I excited and went into explorer and selected them from the backup drive, hit Ctrl-C and copied them into the archive one. After that, I looked in the target drive and they were all there and I even looked into some of the folders and the backups were present. I then went back into Acronis and it still showed the original backups in the backup drive but not the archive one. I then did "Browse for backup" and navigated to the folders in the archive drive but it did not recognize the backups. I then deleted all but one in the Acronis Disk and Partition Backup window which appears in hindsight to have been a fatal mistake. Not only were the originals gone in the backup drive but all the folders were empty in the archive drive. So, I could use some help on how do I successfully move backups around (e.g. from the backup to the archive drive) without repeating my mistake above and get Acronis to recognize the new drive? Thanks in advance for your help.

Ronald,

There is a right click option on the task (you can use the little cog icon) which allows you to move the files.

I'm not sure how it managed to delete all your files though, unless by accident, you selected to delete both sets, though if TI didn't find your second set of images something seems to have gone very wrong indeed.
