Multiple full backups > hardware mislabeled on backup& recovery tap

Thread needs solution

Acronis 2014 mixed up the HDD Labels / Model numbers. I created full backups of five HDDs on my PC,
and the HDD labels (and model numbers) don't match the actual data that's been backed up.
Makes it sort of cornfuzing deciding witch' backup to restore. ie. If I select HHD "E" data to restore,
Acronis will restore HDD "D" data to the new HDD or partition. Yes, perhaps I can figure this out
"on the fly" and ensure the correct data gets restored (perhaps), but how did this happen, and is there
an easy way to correct it without deleting the five backups and starting over?
I've attached a screen capture to try to illustrate the problem.
Thank you,
Ken Boardman

Follow-up > The labeling is correct on the Acronis Backup page for comparison to my first post (see attached screen cap).

Note the illustration listing on the lower right corner which illustrates macros names which can be added to the tib file name. You an use the _@machine@ _ to help keep your machines identified. I use the underscore to help identify their names. I also use the _@exec@_ to help identify my backups which is a sequential backup number.

Each backup task is a creation of the source and destination and these are tied together for that single task. So be sure when creating each of the tasks, have the correct target disk attached.

As you are doing, you are wise to do some practicing to see how the program reacts to your settings.
Editing or changing a task after it is in use usually causes grief so I avoid all edit. If a task needs changing, I start a new task. Each task has its own storage folder and each task name is different. You may want to become more familiar with the software before you start fresh.

Notice at Fig-16 of the guide, that is your last opportunity to assign whatever name you wish to the TASK name or Backup name. Any changes here does not effect the name being applied to the tib file. The Task/backup name and the tib file name are two separate entities.

It's hard to identify whether your name problem was a program issue or a new user issue. Using my guide, that will help you to "dot all the i's and cross all the t's" as often said.

Good luck.

GH4. Illustrate Manual Backup Now option or Repeat backups.

Many thanks for your great tips and suggestions Grover. I'm starting to get that warm fuzzy feeling ~:)
I'm also doing more reading (especially your excellent guides). My second attempt (naming conventions) looks
much better than my first attempt and I plan to keep these backups. I'm thinking about a practical way to
test one of them (A confidence test). Next time I backup I'll be even better prepared for naming and organizing.
I've always maintained a journal (log) of my backups which helps also >> it used to be handwritten, but now
I'm typing and printing it. As age advances my handwriting is "going south" ~:\
